Because of the biggest spoiler of this article: Clara dies at the end.
I won’t go on about the fact that she dies I will however critique the plot and how they
chose to do it.
In this episode we are greeted by a phone call in the Tardis. Its Rigsy on the other end
of the line, scared and confused as he cannot remember the past day as well as the fact
that he now has an ominous tatoo on the back of his neck counting down to zero.

Fast Forward through all the rigamaroll of them trying to find a street that isn’t there
and we find them on a Harry Potter-esque street/alleyway akin to 1800’s London run by none
other than Ishilda/Lady Me.
Clara thinking that she is as clever as the doctor (as she usually does) sees that a person
can “gift” the tattoo to a person that is willing. Thinking that there is definitely a way
out of this Clara asks for Rigsy to give her the tatoo.
In the end the doctor does save the day but at the cost of Clara’s life and apparently his
own as he is being teleported to somewhere unknown to us as well as him.
I was looking forward to what Ishilda/Lady Me was going to be bringing to the table but
the only thing that I tend to get is more frustrated with her character. As she has a
supposedly infinite lifespan but a finite memory she seems to keep making the same mistake.
Making pacts with other races at the expense of others. I hope the doctor will eventually
teach her a lesson that she can read over and over again in her manuscripts.

I give this episode a generous 6 out of 10. It caught me and reeled me in but I have been
a lot more enthralled by other Doctor Who episodes. This one seemed a bit anticlimactic for my tastes.
Clara definitely did not go out with a bang, more of a whimper really.
