Horror-comedies are a tricky beast to tame. Go too far in one direction, and you risk losing the scares; lean too much into the other, and the humour falls flat. Werewolves Within, directed by Josh Ruben, finds that sweet spot—delivering a blend of small-town paranoia, quirky comedy, and just enough bite to keep things interesting.

Nintendo has definately realized what they’ve stumbled upon. The gears have shifted, and wave after wave of first party titles are feeling a lot more acceptable to both genders, not by changing how the games are made or play, but simply by including more accessable and relatable female characters, and by not being afraid to include more traditionally feminine and cute imagery.
