When it comes to horror movies, nothing beats a good ghost story. Sure, axe-wielding psychos and limb rendering monsters can be fun, but give I’d take a creaking haunted house over those any day of the week. For me, the most quintessential examples of this specific horror genre is Robert Wise’s 1963 film The Haunting…
This episode is the last of the season, and the last of the series, where we find that though the valiant crew of the Galactica have staged several victories against the Cylon Empire, they were no match for poor ratings.
Do you remember the Cylon Empire and the holocaust that wiped out the Twelve Colonies? Well with the Galactica having successfully escaped the clutches of the Cylons, and our heroes getting closer and closer to Earth, the showrunners thought we could use some new villains. Apparently genocidal robots is just so old hat.
So far we’ve had episodes that were Space Westerns, War Adventures, and even a Disaster Movie based one, but now with Murder on the Rising Star we move into the Murder Mystery genre, sadly this episode does not include a Space Jessica Fletcher or a Galactic Ben Matlock.
